Stretch-Based Zumba Dance Class for 55+

There are 4 parts, with a total class time of around 40–45 minutes
(can be adjusted). Including:

  1. Kinesiology Basics

    • Explaining body alignment, and how softening the muscles supports balance, health, and longevity.

    • Includes breath work and visualization.

  2. Stretching Session

    • Focused on standing stretches, which can also be adapted to chair stretching.

  3. Dance Routine Session

    • Still based in stretching, but includes a touch of gimmick, complexity, and trendy aesthetic depending on the group’s preferences.

    • Falls under the Zumba cardio dance category (Zone 2 cardio), due to the semi-street dance and grounding-based Latin movements.

    • Movements and routines will and should be adjusted to suit individual or group needs.

  4. Chair Dance Routine

    • Stretching-based, supported movements synced with rhythm.
